Paul
M. Anderson, Esquire - paul@becausejusticematters.com
Paul is the founding
partner of Anderson & Hart, P.A. He limits his practice
to serious personal injury, wrongful death and workers'
compensation cases. Paul is admitted to practice in
all Florida courts and in the United States District
Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida.
Education:
Bachelor of Arts, Florida State University
(1979). Juris Doctor with Honors, Florida State University
College of Law (1987).
Trial Experience:
Paul handles all aspects of courtroom trial work. He
has tried more than two hundred-fifty personal injury
and workers' compensation cases. He has also represented
plaintiffs in approximately twenty-five cases at the
appellate court level. Paul has been a workers’
compensation board certified attorney since 1998.
Caseload:
While the bulk of Paul’s caseload is
located in the Panhandle of Florida, Paul represents
accident victims across Florida. Representative cases
Paul has handled or is currently handling include a
paralyzed brain-damaged teenager in Ft. Myers, a partially-paralyzed
police officer in Gainesville, a partially-paralyzed
construction worker in Pensacola, the estate of the
father of two children murdered by a co-worker in Tallahassee,
electrocuted power line workers in Tallahassee and Marianna,
and the surviving children of a father crushed at a
mill in Graceville.
Memberships:
Paul serves as an officer of the Florida Justice Association
(formerly the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers), the
pre-eminent association for Florida trial attorneys.
Paul also serves as a member of the Executive Council
of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Florida
Bar , making him one of only fifteen Florida plaintiffs
attorneys so serving. Paul is also a past member of
the Board of Directors of the Florida Workers' Advocates.
Paul is a member of
the Trial Law and Workers’ Compensation Sections
of the Florida Bar, the Tallahassee Bar Association,
the Capital City Justice Association, and the American
Association for Justice.
Lectures/Seminars:
Paul has served as a guest lecturer on workers’
compensation at the Florida State University College
of Law. His most recent lectures include the 2011 Conference
of the Judges of Compensation Claims, the 2008 FJA Annual
Convention (automobile litigation) , the 2008 Florida
Bar Workers’ Compensation Board Certification
Forum (indemnity benefits) and the 2008 FWA Annual Convention.
Prior lectures include the Florida Bar Media Law Committee
Reporters Workshop, the Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation
Vital Signs Seminar, the 2002-2005 Academy of Florida
Trial Lawyers annual conventions and the 2003-2005 FWA
annual conventions. Paul has also previously lectured
at the Workers’ Compensation Research Institute’s
Annual Convention (to the Judges of Compensation Claims)
and the Southeast Builders Association Annual Convention.

Karla Hart , Esquire

Karla Hart is a shareholder
at Anderson & Hart, P.A. Karla has been practicing
law since her admission to the Florida Bar in 2004.
She graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelors
Degree in 2000 and obtained a Juris Doctorate Degree
from Stetson University College of Law in 2004. Karla
concentrates her practice in the areas of workers’
compensation and employment law.
Karla is admitted
to practice law in all Florida Courts and the United
States District Court for the Northern District of Florida.
She is a member of the Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation
Section, the Florida Bar Young Lawyer's Division
and the Florida Bar Trial Lawyer's Section. Karla is
also a member of the Florida Workers' Advocates and
the Florida Justice Association (formerly the Academy
of Florida Trial Lawyers).
